Things Back in Balance

As the bowl season began, the Pac10 did quite poorly. Oregon, ASU, and UCLA all lost, and lost big. Then things began to right themselves as Oregon State and Cal did their job (though OSU did it with some luck at the end!).

Today providence has spoken and USC clobbered Michigan. To all those who said that Michigan should be in the BCS Championship Game and would walk all over USC, look at the score -- 32-18. Yes the score was tied at the half (3-3), but in the second half USC got untracked and took over. Now I'm an Oregonian (despite being born in LA) and not a USC fan by nature, but you know Pete Carroll is infectious. I fully expect USC to win the BCS championship next year.

One other thing! It sure was nice to have a proper Rose Bowl -- Pac10 versus Big10. I grew up watching the Rose Bowl and always expect a Pac10 team in there. To not have one, well that's just not right. But then again, I'm kind of a traditionalist when it comes to sports (I don't like designated hitters either).

So, go Pac10! Take that East Coast. We are alive out here on the Left Coast!!!!
