Oregon Ducks into the Sweet 16
The Ducks have made it! They're in the Sweet 16, joining fellow Pac10 teams, UCLA and USC. Having beat the last little guy, Wintrop U 75-61, the Ernie Kent led Ducks go on to play UNLV in the round of 16, hoping to move on to the Elite 8!
Now I must confess during my youth and college years I was an Oregon State fan -- back when Ralph Miller was still coaching -- and I rooted against Ernie and the Dick Harter coached Ducks. But that was then, this is now. Maybe it's the fact that I'm a semi-Oregon alumn (9 undergraduate units -- quarters -- and 15 graduate units in history) that led to the change, or maybe it has been OSU's fall from grace. Whatever it is, I now proudly say: Go Ducks!!!
