Giving and Taking Away

I won't say much to day about the News Press Mess except to say that Craig Smith has done his usual great job of laying out the legal and may I say moral issues involved in this blight upon our community.

A clarification was published yesterday -- but unfortunately the News Press limits who can read online . According to Craig Smith it kind of, sort of, barely corrected the previous inflammatory story about Jerry Roberts, but not really. Grudgingly at best. Then to top it off, inside apparently, Montecito's own Dr. Laura took it all back by insinuating that Roberts was the culprit in this child porn download and to prove it she points to the "vulgarities" apparently published in the Daily Nexxus, the student newspaper at UCSB, which Roberts now supervises. Oh, My! Dr. Laura, how did we deserve thee? Dr. Laura, you're getting pretty close to Ann Coulter country.
