Religion and Climate Change -- Before Congress

Melissa Rogers points us to a fairly brief article in the Washington Post speaking to the issue of Climate Change. In the article we learn that several religious "leaders" testified before Congress -- three said climate change needs to be dealt with on behalf of the poor. The other three -- one an SBC Seminary dean, the second a representative from that Mainline nemesis -- the IRD -- and the third strangely enough -- David Barton.
As Melissa wrote on her blog -- when did David Barton become an expert on climate change. This is a guy whose main purpose is to tear down every wall that exists between church and state and declare the nation a "Christian Nation." Just goes to show you that religion can be on all sides of an issue. For my money I'll stick with the first group!
