What does it mean to be 50?

I turned 50 in March. I think that this was a life-changing event for me. In many ways it pushed me to move toward taking a new position. So, when I heard that Madonna turned 50 today, I began to wonder what it means to be 50. From the time that Madonna broke onto the scene she has helped set the cultural bar. So, I'm wondering what she'll do next?

These days, 60 is the new 50. So, if your cholestoral and weight and blood pressure are good, think positive!

Get out the vote in Michigan. Stopping McCain in MI and OH is key to Obama's chances--McCain can't win without both of them and Obama needs at least one. The electoral vote calculator at 270towin still gives Obama a 92% chance at victory, but the race has DEFINITELY narrowed. A 3-5% shift in any 5 of 11 states could land McCain in the White House. And, in close races for the last 30 years, the candidate leading in the Summer usually did NOT win the White House.

Tonight's shin-dig at Rick Warren's church should help Obama, though.
