They also insist on restricting the religious rights of those they disagree with. They believe in unlimited sexual freedom and believe that those who don't believe in that should be forced to accept those who insist there are no moral rules regarding sexuality.Garynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22980286.post-3168886437853998772015-03-27T15:25:44.446-04:002015-03-27T15:25:44.446-04:00YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY DoC! I too am so proud.

I was about to say that I am excited even though I don't have a stake in this fight - and then I remembered all of the people I have grown to love over the years, some openly LGBT and others hiding their personhood in terror of being unwelcomed, in Indiana, and all over th world, when people like me, stand silently by.

I do have a stake in this. The people, all the people injured by this law, even just by the message delivered through its passage, all of these people are my loved ones. That's what Jesus says. Even the strangers.

I am thinking about the call from Proverbs 22, that we are to raise our children in the way they were made by God to be - not in the way we would impose on them. To know what God intended for them we need to listen to them, and to God, and engage in sincere discernment. And we need to hold on to our dreams for them a little less tightly.John McCauslinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22980286.post-23958535409566535832015-03-27T13:00:49.084-04:002015-03-27T13:00:49.084-04:00I think that the original audience would see the p...I think that the original audience would see the parallel imagery between Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem and stories from the Maccabean rebellion.Brian Morsenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22980286.post-74605733119982798872015-03-27T11:58:46.424-04:002015-03-27T11:58:46.424-04:00I'm so proud of the Christian Church (DOC). And for the better! With the Republicans hoping SCOTUS will rule in favor of same-sex marriage just to get it off the election-debate table so they won't be forced to oppose it, where is the opposition, except from the diehards?Steve Kindlehttp://clergyunited.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22980286.post-40226154364515343242015-03-27T11:13:02.755-04:002015-03-27T11:13:02.755-04:00It is a good letter.
