Resurrection Hope

Martin Marty writes that while Paul says "no resurrection, no hope," he's not exactly sure what Resurrection means -- as he's not much of a "skull and bones" type. Regarding all the brouhaha about the "discovery" of Jesus' "bones" he's pretty sure that all this recent talk will be forgotten by next Easter.
And so, he writes:
I don't disrespect those for whom Resurrection is not an article of faith.
But for those of us who don't know how to explain and what to explain, it's easiest to say with the early Christian writers that in this event God begins "a new creation."
Enough "old bones" talk: now, "new life" talk.
Or, as G. F. Handel taught us to respond: "Hallelujah!"

Indeed, as we progress through this Easter season and make our way toward Pentecost, I join in and sing: "Hallelujah!"
