Thin Places: the real issue

My Friend, Pastor Roy Donkin has hit the head on the nail with regard to the health care debate. There really is no such thing as choice (unless of course you're wealthy, then you can do pretty much whatever you want) -- the question is -- who is making the choices. If you have private insurance (whether not-for-profit or for profit), they will decide what procedures you can have (unless you're wealthy and can pay the difference). If you have a government sponsored plan -- let's say Medicare -- they will decide what they can or will pay. And if you have no insurance, well you can go to the ER, I suppose. And who pays when people go to the ER? If they don't have the money, either the tax payer pays or those with insurance pay with higher bills.

So, don't you think there might be a better way? Take a read of Roy's thoughts on this matter.
