A New Day!

Will.i.am, the singer who created the "Yes We Can" video that mesmerized America and the world early in the Obama campaign, has produced a new video called: "A New Day." Although I admit it might seem to suggest messianic pretensions, hear this as a message not of messianism, which Obama has rejected, but as a sign of hope in the midst of difficult times. It is a celebration of a hard won victory, not just for Barack Obama, but for people of color. It was considered unthinkable that he could win, and yet he did. In this there are signs of hope -- but hope that requires all of us to act together. This isn't about what Obama will do, but what we will do. Anyway,
