Blog Award -- Blogs that make my day

I was recently honored by James McGrath, Butler University Religion prof (Butler was once a Disciples of Christ university) and author of the Exploring the Matrix blog with a blog award.

I'm honored to be selected as one of his "5 Blogs that Make My Day." Whether or not I'm deserving is for others to decide -- but I appreciate the vote of confidence. James writes about a number of important issues including religion/science issues. He is also a big Lost fan, as am I!
My task, apparently, is to list 5 blogs that especially make my day. There are several that I read regularly, some which catch my attention at different times and for different reasons, but here goes my 5 -- in no special order!
1. Find and Ye Shall Seek -- as a pastor with progressive leanings, I find the postings of the Mystical Seeker to be an important challenge to how the church lives and breathes.
2. Levellers -- Michael Westmoreland-White's blog is a constant reminder of the importance of the peace vote. He also challenges my politics, even when he agrees with me.
3. Peculiar Preacher -- This blog by my friend Brett Younger isn't updated enough for my taste, but when he posts the essays are always witty and insightful -- as are his sermons!
4. Faithfully Liberal -- First of all, I must say that I do post at this blog on occasion -- okay regularly -- but the person most responsible for this blog is Aaron Krager, and it is for his good work that I honor this blog.
5. Theolog -- Okay, I post at this blog as well! But, this Christian Century sponsored blog brings together great talent -- and its to its creator/organizer, Jason Byassee, that I extend the good news.
There are a number of others I could have listed, but for now, I name these 5. Congratulations!
Winners, here's your task:
1) Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make me think and/or make my day.
2) Acknowledge the post of the award giver (thank you James!).
3) Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news!
