Running for Cover -- a GOP debate

Last week the Democrats did it -- last night the GOP did it -- debate that is. These early debates have so many candidates included that little of substance is learned. I didn't watch the debate, but was interested to read the box scores this morning. Seems like no one had a death dealing gaff -- though Rudy came out saying he's sort of pro-choice . That should be enough to disqualify him. Everyone else is sticking to the party platform -- overturn Roe v. Wade.

On other fronts most everyone supports the surge and to a person are running from Bush's handling of the war. But of course this is more than a mismanaged war, it's an immoral one -- but they didn't get into that, apparently.
I did hear that on the question of evolution three of the guys (they're all white males) said no. We can only hope that they naysayers don't join naysayer in chief -- GW -- in the White House to do further damage to the scientific infrastructure of the nation.

If GW is a liability, then they sought cover under the wings of Ronald Reagan, patron saint of the GOP. Good for them!!!

Now for new ideas let's turn elsewhere!
