Happy Anniversary -- #24

On Saturday, July 9, 1983, a gangly 25 year old seminarian got married to a beautiful and apparently blinded by love woman at First Christian Church of Pasadena. That was 24 years ago. We're both 49 now, one year away from the big 50 and the 25th wedding anniversary.
Since we were married in the pre-digital age, I must place a picture from the recent past (last summer).

We've had our ups and downs as do all couples, but we are stronger for it. So here before all of you I say that my love for my wife Cheryl is as strong today as ever!
Now, if you think our 24 years is long, consider the lengthy marriages of some of my church members. Some are inching toward 60 years or more -- now that's something to celebrate.

Mazel Tov! Many happy returns! The kindness of women is amazing! (Okay, that last may be a little over the top.) Kate and I had #17 in January--where does the time fly! I can still remember feeling like I was going to pass out as she walked down the aisle!

Thanks everyone for the words of congratulations. And Michael I didn't faint, but as there was a delay in her coming down the aisle I was afraid she was having second thoughts. I mean, marrying a seminarian -- not a wise choice! I was afraid her father was telling her it wasn't too late and that he knew a nice stock broker!
