Foot washing as hazing?

Who knew that a reverence in John 13 would lead to the horrendous practice of hazing? Apparently -- according to an Ethics Daily report -- a Christian group was ejected from Savannah State University for engaging in cult like hazing activities such as foot washing.
Apparently members were caught by campus authorities washing the feet of new members in imitation of Jesus' act of service. As silly as this seems, it suggests complete ignorance on the part of authorities of faith practices. Apparently the group has been a problem, though, because it's spoken out against the Greek system's partying atmosphere. I guess it's okay to get underage kids drunk, but just don't try baptizing them or washing their feet. So, my feeling -- go wash those feet!!!

Interesting...Nobody gets busted for date rape that is notorious at frat parties, but foot washing is somehow damaging...that's messed up.
