Zaca Fire Keeps Burning

I was in Lompoc the past two days and while the smoke from the Zaca Fire was quite visible, it wasn't anything like what I found when I got home this afternoon in Santa Barbara. The smoke is thick and its falling everywhere. The car is covered, there's ash in the house, and i expect a very red sunset this evening.

As of this morning the fire had burned 105,000 plus acres and is now only about 58% contained. Three weeks ago this fire which began on July 4th was 80% contained. The good news is that the Santa Barbara area -- South Coast -- no longer seems in danger as the fire burns to the north and the east. Still, this remains surreal.
