As we gather on this loneliest of nights,
Let us hear the words of our Lord and Master, to remain, and to stay awake, while he prays.
Let us walk humbly with our Lord,
this night, as he walks through valley of the shadow of death, and let us walk with him tomorrow, on his way to the top of that Godforsaken hill, as he carries his cross and ours, to face the horrors of power and oppression which live on even today.
A we walk with our Lord, let us witness to the truth that God’s love, and God’s mercy, and God’ justice will resist evil in our world, even to his death.
Through our faith let us witness to a love so amazing, so divine, that it demands our souls, our lives, and in truth, our all.
