The Israeli Endgame when Church Run Medical Clinics are Targeted?

Apparently the Gaza invasion remains popular in Israel -- and among many here in the US -- but after hearing about a UN run school being bombed, killing 40 noncombatants. When a driver of a Red Cross sponsored relief truck is shot and killed by Israeli soldiers, and now when we hear that a major medical clinic run by Christian Aid, which is sponsored by the Near East Council of Churches is directly targeted for an Israeli air strike, destroying a needed facility together with hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical equipment and supplies, what are we to believe about the intentions of the Israeli government? What benefit to the Israelis is this? What harm does a medical clinic that specializes in prenatal care do to the Israelis? It's time for answers.

It is time for Israel to pull back and begin working on a ceasefire that would include a cessation of Hamas rocket attacks and opening of Gaza to the outside world so it could get food, supplies, and rebuild its society.

I first saw this on the Ekklesia site (with link above). I decided to see where else I might find this discussed.

Well, sites that discuss it include:

BBC,
The Independent (UK)
Reuters

There are some smaller websites and blogs, but I couldn't find anything in the New York Times or the Washington Post. Why do British news sites carry this, but not ours?

Here is a link to the Christian Aid site.
