A Little Church Music for a Monday!

Unitarian Universalist pastor David Markham has caught on to an idea -- exploring the spiritual depth of our culture's music -- not just the new stuff, though that's included -- but the whole range. It doesn't have to be religious music, just music that speaks to the heart and to the soul.

I found today an old piece, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone." It features Peter, Paul, and Mary, along with the writer of this piece from the 1950s -- Pete Seeger. Note the audience, it ranges from young to old.

As we worship, the question is: Must we so niche our worship that it becomes generationally exclusive? Ponder that question as you sing along.
