It's Super Sunday!

Back in the day I would have gotten a bit more excited about this game, but hey I'm older now! More mature! And, hey, I've been the fan of two NFL teams in my life (okay on occasion I've rooted for the Dolphins -- early version and the Broncos -- back in college). Those two teams have been the 49ers, winner of 5 Super Bowls, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, winner of 5 Super Bowls. I first became a Steeler fan in the 70s, back when the 49ers weren't very good and I needed someone to root for come playoff time. My friends were Dallas and Raider fans -- so I chose the Steelers. Then in the 80s the 49ers came to the top of the class. Now, with the Steelers are back in the Big Game. Although I'd like to root for Arizona, considering their history, but the Steelers have too much history with me. So, I'll root for the Steelers, to add win number 6.

But, of course, this isn't the same team that I rooted for in the good old days, back in the days of Bradshaw, Harris, Bleier, Swann, Lambert, Green, Greenwood, Ham, and the rest of the gang! But, on this Sunday, they'll do! Go Steelers!
