This is the Day!

Today could be, as Hillary Clinton pointed out, a game changer. Nearly half the remaining elected/pledged delegates will be selected today (187 I think). There's just a few more than 200 left to go after that. A couple of states look good for Hillary and a couple for Obama. So today's the day.
A sweep by Obama would likely lead to a super delegate tidal wave, and perhaps a concession from Hillary. A sweep by Hillary would throw this thing wide open and cause super delegate indigestion. Both are possible, but both unlikely. The more like scenario is a split, and the question then will be the margin. Going in to today, Hillary had about a 5 point lead in Indiana and Obama an 8 point lead in North Carolina. If Obama keeps it close in Indiana, that bodes well for him. In North Carolina, considering everything, a win will be a win, but if he can push out to about 10% that would put him in a good place. My sense is that tomorrow, the flow of super delegates to one or the other will begin. The math looks good for Obama, and I don't think the super delegates will wait for August. Most will make their decision in the next month, likely enough to make the difference.
I'll give my own take later this evening, after the returns are in!

I was worried early in the evening, but Obama may have closed the deal tonight. A narrow loss in Indiana with a landslide victory in NC should shut the door.

I thought the victory in NC would be 10, not 14-15%! Wow!

Unfortunately, none of the coverage was on the issues, just on the horse race. The American people are NOT being well served by the media. Media reform MUST be part of any progressive agenda forward.
